Overview

SMS is hiring a LRA IAO (Local Registration Authority Information Assurance Officer) for our C4 contract on Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. This position is responsible for the performance of IAO (Information Assurance Officer) duties in direct support of the C4 LRA (Local Registration Authority) Office. The IAO will act as an auditor of LRA systems, policies, processes, and overall program compliance.  The IAO will collect and review data, review manual logs, review systems logs, and investigate any suspicious actions or activity. Performs tasks such as securing logs, backing up logs, reviewing logs, documenting findings, and enforcing security requirements. The IAO will fulfill the AF PKI auditing requirement in an annual self-assessment and during AF-PKI inspections.  These duties require skills in time and task management for the setting of appointments. Additional duties may include but are not limited to answering calls, scheduling appointments, responding to emails to fulfill requests in support of the LRA Team. The ability to adapt well to diverse environments and work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting. Experience navigating Windows operating systems and Active Directory is a plus. Must have the ability to interface well with customers at various levels of a military organization.  Experience in a variety of different fields is essential to success in this position, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Works with outside agencies to ensure local level compliance with required tasks.
  • Works with local leadership and contacts to identify and report local issues.
  • Routine checks of tasks to ensure deadline compliance.
  • Works with customers and their support staff to ensure prompt resolution and escalation if needed.
  • Creates, updates, and routes Enterprise provided information to local Kirtland AFB contacts.
  • Creates, updates, routes, and closes tickets in the Air Force Service Now ITSM
  • Create and maintains process documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Create, maintain, record, and archive documentation in accordance with documented program guidance.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must possess refined critical thinking skills, effective communication, organization, and documentation skills, should be a self-starter, and may direct the activities of other team members, diplomatic, multi-task capable, adaptive to a dynamic environment, dependable and reliable. 
  • Prior experience in a government consulting services environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Windows Operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with creating/updating tickets in Service Now preferred.
  • Familiarity with active directory Account Permissions/Provisioning
  • Experience in computer hardware support, troubleshooting, and imaging of classified and unclassified systems.
  • Ability to learn and support diverse software.
  • Experience in organizing and coordinating user appointments.
  • DoD Secret security clearance is required. 
  • Minimum DoD 8570/8140 IAT-I + CE certification required.
