SMS is seeking a Business Development Account Executive to pursue U.S. Army C4ISR, Enterprise IT and Cyber Security opportunities for the Southwestern region of the United States. This position requires location in either the Texas or Arizona areas, but alternate locations can be entertained. The candidate is responsible for new business growth within their territory to include the development and execution of an account plan and opportunity specific capture plans. The candidate shall identify and qualify new business opportunities that align with the account plan and corporate strategy. They are responsible for developing customer relationships, presenting solutions and corporate capabilities, offering contract acquisition strategies and establishing teaming partnerships with subcontractors to deliver compelling and compliant offerings.
The candidate must thrive in an environment where they operate independently while maintaining a high activity level. They are expected to maintain and document a pipeline of multiple concurrent opportunities across a broad range of technologies and service offerings.
The candidate shall regularly interact with all levels of management and corporate staff to include briefings of developed capture plans, presenting value propositions, and formulating win strategies. The candidate shall be required to respond to Request for Information, prepare presentations and write executive summaries. The candidate shall review and provide input on proposals from the Southeast and other territories.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, a demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding revenue quota objectives and operating in and promoting a team environment are required.
