TS/SCI Position 8570.1M/DoD 8140 Information Assurance Certifications certified to an IAT Level II in accordance with DoDI 8140.01 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred – manages, schedules and performs equipment ordering, secure supply chain, assembly, installation, configuration, and deployment support. Manages the tasks necessary to install a new instance of the weapon system, deploy a major upgrade, provide configuration tailoring prior to each mission, and performing routine maintenance tasks on hardware and software components of the system. Maintains (backup, integrity check, etc.) data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data and system integrity. This includes but is not limited to, planning, installing, operating, backing up, data recovery, and maintaining a variety of operating systems such as, but not limited to, various Microsoft ® products, UNIX variants, and Linux variants and the configuration, administration, OS hardening, system maintenance and troubleshooting; as well as identifying, installing and maintaining system hardware. Hardware components include laptops, rack mounted servers, blade servers and enclosures, storage area networks, routers, switches and network appliances. Abilities shall include how to install, implement, operate, and maintain various virtualization environment platforms (e.g., VMware, VMWorkstation, VMPlayer, Xen, VirtualBox). Coordinates, supports, validates, installs (and provides verification testing directly after install), and reports status of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance releases, patches, security and hardware/software updates. Perform maintenance actions during nights and weekends. Serves as the certified Client Support Administrator (CSA) when appointed by the Government. Produces, updates, and verifies Maintenance TOs. Develops, inputs, maintains, and makes available to Government WS and AF Information Technology assets’ configuration management records, Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning Systems records, and historical records IAW Technical Order 00-33A-1001, Technical Order 00-33D-3003 and applicable directives. Proposes and reports metrics on Mission Applications performance and system resource available. Develop, maintain, coordinate, and make available to the Government any publications, operating instructions or other materials required for the operation, maintenance and support of the WS and AF Information Technology assets IAW Technical Order 00-33A-1001 and applicable directives. The contractor shall maintain all publications and records IAW AF Instruction 33-322, AF Manual 33-363 and applicable directives. Provide all tools required to maintain WSs and manage tool assets IAW Technical Order 00-33A-1001 and applicable directives. Monitor logging capabilities to provide for both real time assessment and historical analysis. Identify and resolve capacity and performance issues to ensure uninterrupted services to the weapon system. Maintain weapon history actions on the individual systems (maintenance actions, CTOs, component failures, preventive maintenance, etc.). Arrange for shipping and disposal of replacement components, and disposal of surplus or non-functional equipment. Provide fly away support for systems and components not located at Scott AFB or JBSA Lackland.
