    SMS is seeking a qualified individual skilled in supporting the planning and managing the technical design, development, construction and delivery of information technology solutions within the Air Force environment. We are seeking an individual who is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in leading technical development and implementation projects. This individual will be responsible for supporting programmatic, personnel and contractual executions in direct support of the effort and should have demonstrated experience in managing IT services contracts, especially for the Federal government.

     

    Facilitates technical and contractual implementation issues with customers to ensure conformance to customer requirements. Provide expert leadership, guidance, and supervision to less experienced personnel in regards to forecasting, tracking, and executing project - related tasks, budgets, and resource allocations. Manages all sub-contractor organizations in the execution of their taskings and efforts.

    Responsibilities

    • Work as a team member of a Project Management Office
    • Develop budgets and scheduling consultants across multiple, simultaneous efforts
    • Ensures that program execution properly meets the requirements of the contract and develops policies and procedures to adjust program activities for customer satisfaction
    • Manage large scale projects as a Prime within the Government space that involves over 100+ staff and multiple sub-contractors
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Process Development and Data Analysis
    • Develop new business within the existing program
    • Manage shared resources, budgets, time estimates and scheduling
    • Perform project quality reviews
    • Resolve conflicts between government clients, SMS team and sub-contractors
    • Report status to customers and sponsors
    • Develop project tools
    • Develop and deliver proposals in response to US Government RFP’s
    • Willing to travel
    • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

    • Five years of experience in the Air Force IT environment
    • Ten years of progressively responsible IT project management experience including costing, planning, and execution.
    • Five years managing large professional IT services engagements, including Federal/DOD program management experience.
    • Knowledge of telecommunications fundamentals.
    • Strong governance experience is a plus.
