    The IT Asset Management and Equipment custion will provide information technology asset management functions and duties in an Air Force environment across the full life-cycle: assist the customer in planning and ordering IT equipment, receiving, staging, preparing, delivering, tracking, retrieving (excess pick up), reutilizing, and disposing in accordance with AFMAN 17-1203 instructions and local policies

    Responsibilities

    • Conducts annual physical inventory of all IT hardware assets on the organizational account
    • Receives all IT hardware assets through the Equipment Control Officer (ECO) and Central Asset Management process
    • Notifies the ECO of changes in status IT hardware assets (receipt, move, transfer, deployment, disposal)
    • Notifies the ECO of IT hardware assets found on base
    • Ensures Asset Inventory Management (AIM) bar code labels are affixed to all IT hardware assets
    • Ensures assets not in operation are kept in a safe, secured areas
    • Notifies the Unit Commander and ECO of items lost, damaged or stolen
    • Manages user hand-receipts and equipment tracking records
    • Turns in excess IT hardware assets as directed by ECO
    • Maintains IT Equipment Custodian Folder in accordance with ECO direction

    Qualifications

     

    SKILLS:

    • Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10)
    • Microsoft Office Products (2010 – 2013), especially Excel
    • Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
    • Familiar with computer hardware and peripheral devices for identification and tracking purposes
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

     

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent degree. An additional 1 to 3 years of experience may be substituted for the Associates degree.
    • Secret Level DoD Security Clearance a must (ability to get interim secret clearance and get / maintain full secret clearance after that)
    • Experience in a military environment is a plus
    • Experience with database applications – data entry, searching, sorting, reporting is a plus
