    In support of AFNWC/NC  the Classified Systems IT Support Administrator will provide unit specific information technology (IT) support to the customer organization on Hanscom AFB as an SCI, SAP, SIPR, NIPR, VTC, and Café Technician/Administrator.  They will also provide the day-to-day technical support necessary to ensure NC3 unclassified and classified networks, computers, VTCs and Café’s operate successfully.  Lastly they will provide IT support to AFNWC/NC customers, provide telephone support (TCO), and Equipment Custodian duties.  This includes the maintenance, operations, and life cycle management support of systems, software, and appliances to include enterprise management of client systems.


    • Provide “support technician” level of effort required to ensure NIPRNET/SIPRNET capability to the customer
    • Provide the “administrator” level of effort required to ensure SCI, SAP capability to the customer
    • Serves as ISSO/user account manager, COMSEC Responsible Officer and POC for management of all policy and portal/Intelink management support
    • Support MS Office applications at the network and client levels
    • Interface with product personnel to insure proper local installation and configuration
    • Support downward directed USAF, Special Programs and IC Applications
    • Track trouble tickets with Remedy Tool or other as appropriate to network
    • Manage the VTC scheduling, operation and maintenance activities for VTCs
    • Provide web and/or SharePoint support to AFNWC/NC customers
    • Perform and Maintain system backups and disaster recovery procedures
    • Maintain internal network security server/client virus protection to ensure all users have current updates
    • Maintain and control access privileges to IT resources
    • Notify all users of potential viruses and/or other threats to network security as identified by the base network control center
    • Operate and maintain SIPRNet, SCI and SAP servers for AFNWC/NC and customers
    • Coordinate/Create new network accounts and email
    • Configure and troubleshoot file & print services, laptops, PCs, and PDAs
    • Maintain and manage network and client storage devices such as hard drives, tapes, optical drives and media
    • Maintain on-site server hardware/software IAW ICD 503 and NIST or other program publications as appropriate and directed for networks
    • Provide informal user training for the applications described approve, as required and for knowledge transfer
    • Plan, install, terminate and test fiber optic cable within the NC SCIF as needed



    • DoD COMSEC skills desired
    • DoD Information Assurance / Risk Management Framework skills desired
    • DoD / Video Teleconferencing (VTC) skills desired
    • Working knowledge of inside plant CAT 5e / Fiber Optic cabling infrastructures and architectures desired (plant engineering / installation / troubleshooting / repair)
    • Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 10)
    • Microsoft Office products (2013/2016 and Office 365 cloud applications)
    • Working knowledge of MS SharePoint administration
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical & or customer issues quickly and efficiently
    • Proficient with computer and hardware
    • Strong troubleshooting skills
    • Self-directed, shows strong self-initiative, strong leadership and interpersonal soft skills
    • Strong willingness to learn, follow when needed
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with four years’ experience working in large customer organizations, military settings preferred
    • Six to eight years’ experience without degree
    • Valid Sec+ or above required (before hire)
    • TS/SCI eligible Level DoD Security Clearance a must (before hire)
