    Department: Sales/Catalog Sales


    Overview: SMS is seeking a high-energy sales representative with existing relationships with DoD or Civilian Government customers and OEMs.


    The ideal candidate must have a run rate greater than $5M per year selling hardware and software solutions to the Federal Government.



    • Present and sell top tier IT products to Government contacts
    • Promote and develop positive relationships with Product partners
    • Identify sales prospects in specified Agencies
    • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the Sales and contacts to be made
    • Manage lifecycle of vetted opportunities (utilizing SalesForce) and communicate opportunity stages to management
    • Responsible for all Catalog sales activities in assigned accounts or regions
    • Manage customer and manufacturer expectations and close deals


    Knowledge and Skills Requirement

    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to contact, communicate, and influence Government decision makers at all stages of the Sales cycle
    • Strong understanding of Government procurement process
    • Experience with SalesForce
    • Proven ability to work effectively with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s)
    • Requires three to five years of Catalog sales experience. Bachelor’s degree a plus
    • Must maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public
