Responsibilities

Provides systems administration expertise for a physical and virtual server architecture with an array of Microsoft products, including SharePoint/SQL, that is geographically dispersed in support of the customer’s major mission areas. Performs common desktop support functions for workstations providing administrative access to enterprise applications. This includes installation of the host operating system and associated office and special purpose applications.  Provides, as necessary, the overarching operational installation, implementation and Tier-3 support in the deployment and sustainment of a survivable virtual server environment

Responsibilities include:

  • Formulating/defining system scope and objectives.
  • Devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
  • Preparing detailed specifications for programs
  • Assisting in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
  • Working with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements.
  • Formulating/defining specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
  • Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs.
  • Providing overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
  • Assisting all phases of software systems programming applications.
  • Evaluating new and existing software products.
  • Maintain and update the host workstation operating system.
  • Maintain required unique special purpose applications and general purpose office applications.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of progressively responsible IT security consulting experience including recent experience with RMF
  • Candidates should have technical experience in all of the following areas: network infrastructure (Cisco), Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, UNIX/Linux (SUN/Redhat) or database (Oracle/MS SQL 2012).
  • Individual must have high degree of skills with the MS Office toolsets
  • Applicant must possess refined critical thinking skills, should be a self-starter, may direct the activities of other team members, diplomatic, multi-task capable, adaptive to a dynamic environment, dependable and reliable.
  • Prior experience in a government consulting services environment is required

Education
Bachelor’s degree in a Business Management or MIS related field. 

 

Certifications

CompTia Security + CE, MCSE or MCSA

 

Clearance

Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance
