Responsibilities

 

Install, configure, manage, support, troubleshoot and monitor devices related to CISCO ASA

Experience with Cisco advanced security solutions: ASA, IDS, IPS, VPN, and other security related devices

Analyze network traffic patterns and recommend areas of improvement using Network monitoring tools

Build, maintain, and fix supporting systems attached to various CISCO network devices within the infrastructure

Ensure systems are patched and in compliance with all DHS and DoD regulations and STIGS

Maintain legacy infrastructure while deploying replacement solutions

Maintain backups of all necessary network equipment into a configuration management tool

Create and update network diagrams and device documentation

Work with government on design, purchasing, and implementation decisions

Work with peers to ensure documentation and knowledge sharing is adequate and there is no single point of failure

Requirements

Knowledge of industry accepted standards and best practices related to CISCO ASA devices

Knowledge of JRSS

At least four years of experience deploying and maintaining Cisco equipment on complex networks

In depth knowledge of networking such as LANs, WANs, VPNs, Routers, Switches and Firewalls

Travel may be required to remote sites to deploy or repair devices or attend meetings

Must have active DoD Secret Clearance

Must be DoD 8570 IAT III 

A minimum of four years’ work related experience

Qualifications

 This position is open only to candidates with an active Secret Clearance DoD security clearance.   Must be DoD 8570 IAT III (within first 90 days on job)
