Responsibilities

The Senior Project Server Developer will be responsible for developing and deploying custom workflows and Business Intelligence reports within ProMIS, as well as other customizations to the branding and user interface. 

 

Tasks:

There are front end/client side tasks that may require working with the Server Applications Team.

  1. Troubleshoot and conduct analysis of ProMIS user reported problems
  2. Recommend and perform business, functional and/or technical improvements for the affected modules and business processes, including the addition of business and technical features to existing software
  3. Provide alternative solutions to improve the related processes and assist in exploring possibilities of using new features, functions and modules
  4. Create and run ad hoc reports when requested by users, stakeholders, and Technical Monitor (TM) and verify the reports are accurate and as expected
  5. Monitor and address ProMIS problems with servers and database with support from JITSP-P Operations and Engineering divisions
  6. Revise procedures, operations guide and supporting documentation as needed
  7. Conduct an impact analysis when a new version of Project Server adds new or modified functionality or when any current version that is being used must adapt to a new operating system or server environment
  8. Analyze and evaluate software problems to perform corrections/minor changes and enhancements to support solution
  9. Coordinate the notification of the deployment of release to users, stakeholders, TM, and other impacted parties

Operations Support:

  1. On-going Support: Provide support to end users and desk-side training support as needed by user community to ensure adoption of ProMIS

Training Support:

  1. Train users via a training plan

Business Intelligence Development

  1. Excel Services: Allows for the integration of reporting from Excel and SharePoint/Project Server
  2. Project Professional 2013: Desktop application that provides real time reporting capabilities
  3. HTML, CSS, JS, and familiarity with REST API using jQuery Ajax

Qualifications

Experience

5+ years of experience working with SharePoint/Project Server, with at least 3 years of experience developing solutions for SharePoint/Project Sever 2013

 

Certifications

Must be a Microsoft Certified Professional for SharePoint/Project Server 2010/2013 or other related Microsoft administration or development certification
